As a 2:54 marathoner, he understands the discipline, ambition, and occasional challenges that come with training—and he’s dedicated to guiding his clients to their peak performance while avoiding setbacks.
Joe’s experience as both a runner and a physical therapist makes him especially skilled at helping runners prevent and manage overuse injuries, improve performance, and train smarter. His Washington, DC-based practice focuses on orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine, with a specialized approach for runners that combines hands-on manual therapy, targeted strength and mobility work, and practical training advice.
After earning his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in 2009, Joe moved to Washington, DC, where he completed an orthopedic manual therapy residency at Georgetown University through the Institute of Physical Art. His commitment to excellence in care led him to earn his Certification in Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT) with honors in 2014 and achieve board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2015.

Kelly Cutler, PT, DPT, CKTP
Physical Therapist
Kelly brings a unique blend of athletic experience and advanced physical therapy expertise to her work, specializing in rehabilitation and performance optimization. A former Division I swimmer at the University of Vermont, Kelly’s passion for physical therapy was sparked by her own journey through overuse injuries, giving her a firsthand understanding of an athlete’s challenges and needs.
After earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the CUNY Graduate Center/ Hunter College in New York City in 2010, Kelly began her career at a private clinic, where she not only refined her skills but also helped launch a new location in Midtown East. After moving to Washington, DC, in 2014, Kelly worked within a university hospital system, where she provided specialized care in orthopedic and neuromuscular rehabilitation, further honing her expertise and deepening her commitment to individualized care.
Kelly’s expertise spans advanced manual therapy techniques, including Kinesio Tape, Active Release Technique, and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. She has extensive training in functional manual therapy and is actively pursuing certification as a functional manual therapist. Her hands-on approach, combined with her deep understanding of athletic performance, makes her especially skilled at helping active professionals and athletes recover from injuries, improve movement patterns, and achieve their goals.
Now a mother of three, Kelly is more passionate than ever about promoting active, healthy lifestyles. She takes an individualized approach to every client, focusing on enhancing functional movement and helping them thrive both in their training and daily lives.
Pam Norton, PT, DPT, OCS, CFMT
Physical Therapist
Pam has been helping people move better and feel stronger for over a decade. She graduated from Marymount University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2011 and has spent her entire career practicing in Washington, D.C. In 2014, Pam completed an orthopedic manual therapy residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital through the Institute of Physical Art, earning her certification as a Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) with Honors the following year. She didn’t stop there—she added a board certification in orthopedics (OCS) to her resume in 2016.
Before joining the team, Pam spent five years as a clinical supervisor in a busy outpatient clinic, mentoring and supporting other therapists while working with a wide variety of patients. While her specialty is treating orthopedic injuries in adults, her time in an outpatient hospital setting gave her experience helping clients with more complex medical issues. From neurology and pediatrics to oncology, rheumatology, and sports medicine, Pam has worked with patients of all backgrounds, tailoring her care to fit each person’s needs.
Pam’s goal is simple: to help clients feel like the best version of themselves—even if they’ve had less-than-great experiences with physical therapy in the past. She’s passionate about guiding people through movement, education, and functional training to help them get back to doing what they love.
When she’s not at work, Pam stays active as a mom to two energetic boys and enjoys strength training, barre, and Pilates. A lifelong athlete, she grew up playing field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse and even competed in intercollegiate sailing at Boston University and lacrosse at the University of Florida. Whether she’s working or working out, Pam loves helping people tap into their potential and feel strong, capable, and ready for life.
Luke Cancilla, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Luke grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from John Carroll University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During his time there, he competed on the cross country and track and field teams, specializing in the 10K and fostering a strong sense of community with his teammates.
In 2021, Luke earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the highly regarded program at the University of Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh, he gained hands-on experience working in a variety of specialty clinics, including a spine center, a sports medicine complex, and a comprehensive concussion program.
Luke has since focused his career on orthopedic and sports injuries, as well as vestibular therapy and concussion rehabilitation. He continues to expand his knowledge through ongoing education, certifications, and mentorship from some of the top experts in the field. While he’s a self-proclaimed science enthusiast (his bookcase is proof!), Luke’s real passion is connecting with patients and helping them get back to the activities that matter most to them.
Whether you’re training for a marathon, recovering from surgery, or simply trying to move without pain, Luke takes a whole-person approach to care. He’s committed to making sure every session leaves you feeling heard, equipped with tools to further your recovery, motivated to reach your goals—and maybe even sharing a few good laughs along the way.
Outside of work, Luke is still an avid runner. You’ll often find him running through the city, exploring trails, or joining a local running group.
Eric Liu, DPT, OCS

Eric is not just a physical therapist—he's a dedicated partner in your journey to wellness. With over a decade of experience and a passion for empowering individuals, Eric is committed to helping you achieve your health and fitness goals.
Eric's journey in physical therapy began at Marymount University, where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. He expanded his expertise by becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2017 and a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) through the Swodeam Institute in 2014. He's also certified in Dry Needling up to FDN Level 2 by KinetiCore and holds an SFMA Level 2 certification acquired in 2020.
Throughout his distinguished career, Eric has specialized in evaluating and treating various orthopedic conditions and providing postoperative rehabilitation. His tenure in orthopedic private practice and his work at the CCACC Chinese Culture and Community Service Center highlight his commitment to excellence and compassionate care. At CCACC, he provides dedicated support to members of the elder care facility and the local Chinese community.
Eric has a special passion for working with youth athletes, weightlifters, boxers, and mixed martial artists. Understanding the unique physical demands of these disciplines, he's dedicated to helping athletes achieve peak performance while minimizing injury risks. Whether guiding young athletes through proper training techniques, assisting weightlifters in optimizing strength and form, or supporting mixed martial artists in enhancing agility and conditioning, Eric's tailored approach ensures each client receives the individualized care they need to excel.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Eric leads an active lifestyle. He's passionate about competitive Muay Thai kickboxing and amateur boxing, reflecting his deep understanding of athletic performance. In high school, he was a distinguished track and field competitor focusing on sprints. Fluent in conversational Mandarin, Eric is dedicated to connecting with and serving diverse communities. In his spare time, he enjoys baking, making sushi, and spending quality time with his loving family and cats.
Jessie Grimmer, DPT
Physical Therapist
Jessie’s passion for physical therapy is deeply rooted in her own personal experience: watching her husband recover from debilitating lower back pain and transform his life through physical therapy inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy . She brings with her a heartfelt dedication to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
A 2022 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Jessie has extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic settings. She has worked with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or improving balance, gait, and overall strength and conditioning.
An avid CrossFit enthusiast, Jessie understands the demands of high-intensity fitness and enjoys collaborating with clients who are motivated to enhance their performance. She combines her passion for movement with evidence-based treatment approaches to design personalized plans that empower clients to reach their full potential.
Outside of the clinic, Jessie enjoys running, hiking, and savoring a great cup of coffee. She’s also a fan of curling up with a good book and spending quality time with her husband and their dog, Sasha.
Mandy Holland

Mandy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Westmont College and a Master’s Degree in French from Middlebury College. A lifelong dancer, Mandy grew up immersed in the world of ballet, performing with regional companies across California. Her passion for movement led her to teaching ballet to students of all ages, where she emphasizes the importance of caring for the body to enjoy dance as a lifelong pursuit.
