Introducing Kelly Culter
Kelly Cutler graduated in 2010 from the CUNY Graduate Center / Hunter College in New York City, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduate school, Kelly spent many years in New York City working at a private clinic, as well as helping to open a new location for the practice in Midtown East. Kelly moved to DC in the summer of 2014 with her husband and began working at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital shortly thereafter.
Throughout her childhood, Kelly was an avid athlete, participating in many sports from lacrosse to softball. She began swimming competitively at the age of eight and continued into her college years as a Division I competitor at the University of Vermont. It was the many years of playing sports, and several overuse injuries from the hours she spent in the pool, that peaked her interest and passion for Physical Therapy.
Currently, Kelly specializes in orthopedic and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Her additional qualifications include Kinesio Tape, Active Release Technique, manual therapy, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and dry needling. She has extensive training in functional manual therapy and plans to one day become a certified functional manual therapist. By virtue of her background as an athlete and interests, she has an enthusiasm for providing individualized care and helping clients improve their daily functions. Kelly is also a mother to three young children: two boys and a new baby girl.
